Well!

I am back now. I have been really tied up with a lot of things in life, not that anyone would bother,but yes, i need to get back to my silly old ways to write again. Anyways, the update is that I am in India now for a short sweet holiday due to my visa change process. I am joining another firm in Bahrain , a competitor and am pretty happy about it.

I am leaving during the last week of August for another long hiatus, so to speak. It has been really good going so far and hope better days ahead.

Decision

I feel that a decision in life can sometimes be so much of a blessing. My last relationship was never really a relationship. But, thanks to my partner, we somehow managed to pull it through for 14 months. Out of those 14 months, we were living apart for almost half the duration. We were always arguing while we were apart, yelling, saying horrible things to each other which does not didn’t do any good. Anyways, I am glad that I have moved on and what it seems like, I presume she has as well.

It is always better not to leave any grudges behind and we should not let it fester. Who knows, we may cross paths again.

When I was in India in January, I very nearly did. I crossed her house and had to meet someone dangerously close to her house. In fact, it was the very same block, which would have been approximately 5 minutes walk to her house.

Hope all is well with her and her life is moving on just fine.

Work, Anger, Frustration, Money, Salary.

I am beginning to totally stagnate in this organization I work for. These guys have never, I repeat, never have ever paid our salaries on time. I have been politely and politically been requested to achieve a target of 265000 US$ by the end of March. They have given me a letter which states if I don’t achieve the said target, in all probabilities I would be asked to pack my bags and head back to India. They are about 20 of us who have been handed the letter. Their fucking excuse is the recession. The good news however is that I have already achieved 80000 of the 265000 and I have 7 weeks at my disposal.

I think it is totally ridiculous. Firstly, they never fucking pay on time and then they expect us to achieve targets beyond our wildest imaginations. I have started to look out for other options in the Middle East, probably in the United Arab Emirates. My first cousin lives there and it would be nice to have some family close by.

Anyways, all I am saying is I am totally out of sorts now and feel like heading to a bar and getting drunk. Guess what, I can’t even do that. They haven’t even paid us until now.

Holiday in India

I came back last week from my vacation to India. Landed in Delhi en route to Calcutta. It was a fun trip. My family from the U.K. , U.AE. were visiting as well. Delhi was nice . Met up with friends after a year. Calcutta is always nice with family.

My annual leave finally got approved today. I am bloody excited. I will be travelling to New Delhi & Calcutta just before Christmas and will be in India for one whole month. I really wanted to get out of Bahrain for some time and now I will leaving soon.

Looking forward to meeting family and friends in Delhi and Calcutta.

I have finally bring myself to have the feeling of love again, which is more than a welcome change. I never imagined this would happen, but to God’s grace and my perseverance, it has resulted in me feeling beautiful and wanted. She lioves in South Africa. I enjoy her emails and moreover , we really enjoy speaking to each other. We are planning to meet. Though It is a difficult proposition , but I hope we can overcome the nuances and meet soon.

Month long of .....

As you all may be aware, I live in the middle east now but originally belong to India. This is the first time I am experiencing a life which I have never lived before. For one whole month, all the pubs, the liquor shops are closed. You cannot even eat in public until the fasting is over. This is a first time for me.

Has anybody been through this ?

I really don’t know what it is about marriage. Currently in work place, there are three divorce proceedings in progress. This one guy actually got thrown out of his house by his wife. Obviously he does not have a place of his own, so he crashed at my house last night. He has been seeing this girl from the office and they plan to get hitched pretty soon. What I don’t understand is , how can one get hitched if they are already married. I mean , get a divorce and then re-marry. To top it all, he has a cute 4 year old daughter. I really do not know where and when all this is going to end.

I am 32 years old and now watching marriages breaking up in my office and one in India, I am reluctant to tie the knot.

Any suggestions ???

Abu Dhabi

I had the most amazing time in Abu Dhabi. It felt great to take a break from the grueling six months in Bahrain. I had the most amazing home food which was on offer.

But the best part of the trip were my brother’s kids, Yana & Ishan. They are twins. I love them to bits. I will be uploading the pictures soon.

The night life is much better what we have in Bahrain. I relished the most amazing Thai cuisine you could imagine. I didn’t want to eat outside much coz I really enjoy home food.

Anyways, a lovely trip and I look forward to visit sometime soon.

I had the best time ever last evening. Went out with colleagues to swim. It was great fun. I think I swam after nearly 3 years. The only issue is the water was very warm, which is pretty obvious considering I am living in the middle of east.

I went out clubbing alone on Friday night and encountered a very interesting and welcoming experience. I was at the bar drinking my usual Heineken beer when I felt a incredibly soft hand feeling my ass and then I felt her finger penetrating into my ass. I immediately turned back to find her disappearing into the crowd. I remember though she was wearing a black top. I tried to locate her on the dance floor but was unable to. I got in touch with my friend Angela after 3 years who I met when I was stationed in Kuala Lumpur. It was pretty good. She hails from Cologne in Germany but now have become a Malaysian citizen. She is an adventurous lady. Riding expensive bikes, going trekking are a passion for her and can you believe it, she is 42 years old. Some of us need to learn from that.

Phone Call to my ex girlfriend

On my last weekend which is a Thursday and a Friday, I accidently sent a text message to my ex – girlfriend in India. I meant to bid good-bye to a girl I happen to speak to in Bahrain and she was on her way back from Europe to India via Bahrain. Her number was actually very similar to my ex’s. As a matter of fact , the first five numbers are exactly the same.

Anyways, I immediately realized it and sent her another text apologizing for the first one. I felt like a complete idiot.

Man, did you guys watch the game last night ? Spain was brilliant and to state the obvious , Germany did not deserve to win. I have never ever watched Spain playing such aggressive soccer. They are a fantastic team and will grow leaps & bounds.

Last week, two of ex - girl friends wrote me an email stating they were getting married. Now the strange part is , they wrote to me on the same day, they share the same name. and they belong to the same city called Calcutta and last and hopefully not the least, they are currently living in Bangalore. Is that a coincidence or what? Thank God , they are not getting married on the same day.

I don’t understand what it is about me? So many things just don’t make any sense at all, the first one obviously being the oscillations in my moods. Hyper one second (bouncy-bouncy), and lower than a newt’s chin next! I sit there and I wonder why? Is it because I’m an attention seeker? Oh, here’s a new one – maybe … once I know I have their attention, I feel that I need to move on to a new group of people and try and get their attention. Here’s another one … but, it is contradictory to the first one … what was it? Yeah … no … oops, there it goes again.

I guess that’s the problem with having a brain like mine. Not only do I have major mood swings (which should be under control because I am on medication for my ankle pain. Hmmm … maybe I should increase the dosage. One second. Now what do I swallow these with? Aaah. This glass of whiskey should do perfectly), but I also have a million and one things going through my head at the same time. If I was to describe my brain … or, if somebody were to ask me what I thought was the best way of describing the confusion in my head, I would say a busy intersection. Rush hour. Drunken driver. Accident victim (to be). Onlooker. Does it make sense? To me it does, but it probably doesn’t make any sense to you, and it HAS to make sense to you, doesn’t it? You are, after all, the reader. You are the one who will buy this newspaper (and maybe if I’m lucky, it’ll be a magazine); and help, like the many others who bought this periodical, my boss pay off his mortgage for that huge house that he just built Maybe I’ll get paid this time. Maybe I’ll get to go out to the supermarket for some cold cuts and bread and butter and milk. Sweet milk. Maybe if he feels like it, he’ll give me enough money to afford a dinner for two and a movie. Maybe he’ll come back o me then?
